Irene Ann Miller
 

               Irene Ann Miller, of Tacoma, WA, passed away August 31, 2014.  She was 80 years old.  She was born on June 21, 1934, in Aberdeen, SD, to Joachim and Barbara Braun Miller.  After moving to Tacoma in 1941, the Miller Family belonged to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Irene later became a member of Sts. Cosmas and Damian Parish in Orting, WA.


               She loved reading her Bible and visiting with family.  She also enjoyed going to Cheney Stadium to watch the Tacoma baseball team, or listening to their games on the radio and TV.


               Irene is survived by her son, Ed Mohs (Donna); grandchildren, Kristy, Mark, Michele, and David; and several great grandchildren.  Survivors also include brothers Paul (JoAnn), and Richard (Gloria); sisters Rosemarie Vitale (Vince), and Monica Olson (Dennis); sisters-in-law Diane Brandfas (Chuck), and Grace Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.


               She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed and Jim; sisters, Dorothy Marcinowski, Margie Pace, and Carol Hovind; brothers-in-law Chuck Pace and Tom Marcinowski; and nephews Donald Fuller and Jim Hovind.


               Visitation will be at Piper-Morley Funeral Home, 5436 S Puget Sound Ave., Tacoma, on September 5th from noon to 5 p.m.  There will also be viewing prior to Mass on Semptember 6th, at Sts. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church.  The Rosary will be recited at Church at 10:15 a.m.; Mass will start at 11:00 a.m.;  and reception will follow Mass in the “Gathering Place” at Church.  Sts. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church is located at 213 Leber St. NW, Orting, WA.  Burial will follow the reception at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 – 70th St. W, Tacoma, WA.


               The family wishes to thank the staff of Tacoma Lutheran Home – Ocean Station, for the quality care and deep respect they showed to Irene and family members.  We greatly appreciate all of you.
